As usual, the theme is a wonderful one, and I have the perfect image in mind, but not just one, but 3... how do I choose!! Do I pick the one thats a couple years old but still cool none the less, or do I pick one thats more meaningful. Oh the choices!!!
I decided to go with an older image, only because it's so cool.
I don't know how many can say they walked across the Mississippi River and lived! Being from the St Louis area, the Mississippi river is a big, yucky, muddy river, that you don't want to think of crossing on foot (or by swimming for that matter!)
In the summer of 2005 the entire family (hubby, MM, FIL, MIL, BIL, SIL and kids) went to Bemidji MN, while there we went to the Lake Itasca State Park, that is where the Mississippi river starts. It was so cool to say I could walk across the Mighty Mississip!
This is me, holding the hands of my then 15 month old son, and my nieces. Behind me (the legs) that is Lake Itasca, the starting point of the Mississippi. More images can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21198557@N00/sets/72157603860708268/
This was taken by my hubby with our Fuji S5000 on Auto!
